DAY 1
Transfer from Kampala or Entebbe – Ziwa Rhino Tracking – Murchison Falls
Begin with a morning pickup by your Lena Tours safari guide. Travel north toward Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where an experienced ranger will lead a guided rhino tracking walk. After observing the rhinos from a safe distance, enjoy lunch and continue toward Murchison Falls. Depending on arrival time, visit the Top of the Falls or proceed to your lodge.

DAY 2
Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Nile Boat Cruise
Depart early for a wildlife game drive across the northern savannah, including the Buligi game-viewing area. Search for giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, lions, and other wildlife. Return for lunch, then join an afternoon boat cruise upstream toward the base of Murchison Falls. Expect excellent opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants along the banks, and numerous birds.

DAY 3
Second Game Drive – Top of the Falls – Scenic Exploration
Enjoy another morning wildlife drive, exploring different sections of the park to increase the chances of seeing animals missed the previous day. After lunch, visit the Top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile forces its way through a narrow rocky gorge, creating powerful waterfalls and rising mist. Enjoy photography and spectacular viewpoints before returning to your lodge.

DAY 4
Chimpanzee Tracking in Budongo Forest
After an early breakfast, drive to the Kaniyo Pabidi chimpanzee tracking area in Budongo Forest. Join a ranger briefing before entering the tropical forest in search of habituated wild chimpanzees. Listen for chimpanzee calls and observe their feeding, climbing, and social behavior if encountered. Tracking may take several hours, depending on their location. After lunch, enjoy an optional guided forest walk or relax at the lodge.

DAY 5
Budongo Forest – Return to Kampala or Entebbe
Enjoy breakfast surrounded by the peaceful forest atmosphere before checking out of your lodge. Begin the scenic return journey through Masindi and the countryside toward Kampala or Entebbe, stopping for lunch along the way. Your guide will drop you at your preferred hotel or at Entebbe International Airport, bringing your five-day wildlife and chimpanzee safari to an end.

The chimpanzee tracking location at Kaniyo Pabidi is a designated tourism area in Budongo Forest. Tracking requires advance arrangements and remains subject to permit availability and operational conditions.

Chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest generally requires participants to be at least 15 years old. Tracking involves walking on forest trails and may take two to four hours. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, and all activities depend on weather, park regulations, and availability.
