Wildlife game drives in Uganda.
Uganda is an amazing destination in East Africa, it is also known as the pearl of Africa, the country is naturally blessed with so much to see on a single visit, most sought of in the country are the primates however there is more to primates for example the big five (African elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards, Rhinos, lions) are found in Uganda. Wildlife game drives are conducted mostly in the Savannah National Parks including the Murchison Falls National Park to the north of the country, Kidepo Valley National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park in the western part of Uganda, and the Semliki National Park.
Game drives in Murchison Falls National Park are conducted in the northern sector of the park Pakuba, most of the animals are found along the region through the savannah grasses, game drives are done in sessions, in the morning, afternoon, and evening time in search of animals, he game tracks are maintained by the Uganda wildlife authority rangers, expect to see vast wildlife like lions, leopards, Rothschild’s giraffes, Uganda jobs, leopards, buffaloes, side stripped hyenas, water bucks, warthogs, and over 300 species of birds, Murchison falls national park is one of the few places where doing night game drives is allowed, in search of nocturnal species.
Game drives in Queen Elizabeth national park, the conservation area is the second largest national park in Uganda, it boasts a variety of ecosystems ranging from lush green forests, crater lakes, gorges, lakes, and rivers to the savannah grasslands and wildlife, the park is home to tree climbing lions, to the south of the Ishasha sector, game drives mostly take place in the Kasenyi plains, it is such a great experience in the early morning expect to meet lions, leopards, antelopes of different species, hippos, among others, the Crater lake explosion centers are decorative in the most beautiful way it takes 2-3 hours conducting drives in the national park.
Kidepo Valley National Park is one of the most isolated conservation areas of Uganda, if is found in the far northern corner tucked in between mountains and along the border with South Sudan, games drives here will give you a chance to view animals including the endemics to the park, these take place in the Narus valley basically because it is the only place where there is water all year round, the park is known for the highest concentration of the African buffaloes Uganda, other animals to encounter include elands, waterbucks, elephants, Jackson hartebeests, zebras, among other species.
Game drives on Lake Mburo national park, Lake Mburo national park is located on the western part of Uganda, most of the park area is composed of waterbodies altogether forming a large wet land area, the total land area of the park is just enough to host mammals , there are many zebras present in the park ,elands,oliive baboons, topi, Rothschild’s giraffes , waterbucks in the conservation area is safe to do night game drives, the lack of large mammals like elephants makes it ideal for guided nature walks as well.
Wildlife game drives in Uganda are done using 4*4 wheel car drives inorder to beat the tough terrian of the African wilderness, you need strong car to have a success of game drives.
